Oticon Reveal

Oticon Reveal uses Speech AI and Context AI together, giving you clearer conversations without shutting out the sounds you still want to hear.

The Oticon Reveal is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid built around two artificial intelligence systems that work at the same time: one focused on speech, one focused on everything else you can hear. Rather than removing as much background sound as possible, it looks for a balance between clear conversation and awareness of your surroundings, something Oticon calls your "balance point." We fit the Oticon Reveal at The Hearing Spa in Sarasota.

Clear Speech Without Flattening the Room

Reveal is the third generation of Oticon's AI-based sound processing, following Oticon More and Oticon Intent. What changed is the split. A Speech AI analyzes and enhances the voices you are trying to follow, while a Context AI preserves the environmental sounds that tell you where you are: footsteps behind you, a car approaching, someone calling from the next room. The two systems reassess the sound scene every two milliseconds and combine their work through a feature called the Reveal AI Clarifier. Supporting all of it is 4D sensor technology, which reads your movement and listening situation before the hearing aid decides how to process sound.

Key Features of the Oticon Reveal

These are the features most likely to matter if you spend time in restaurants, meetings, family gatherings, or anywhere several people talk at once.

  • Dual AI Processing: Speech and environmental sound are handled separately, then blended, so conversation comes forward without the rest of the room disappearing.
  • Reveal AI Clarifier: Applies up to 12 dB of noise reduction in demanding environments, a step up from the previous Oticon platform.
  • Reveal Optimizer: An updated feedback control system that limits whistling, which gives us more room to deliver the amplification your hearing test calls for on open and vented fittings.
  • Streaming Comfort: Automatically lowers the sound of your surroundings while you stream, keeping phone calls, music, and podcasts in front of background noise.
  • Modern Connectivity: Bluetooth Low Energy Audio, Google Fast Pair, and Made for iPhone support, plus Auracast, which lets you receive audio broadcast directly to your hearing aids in theaters, airports, and places of worship.
  • Two Charging Options: A desktop charger for overnight charging and a portable travel charger for time away from home, with no disposable batteries to replace.

Is the Oticon Reveal Right for You?

Reveal suits patients who want conversation to be clear but still want to notice what is happening around them. It is worth considering if you have dealt with whistling or feedback on open or vented fittings before, or if streaming to your phone and other devices is part of your daily routine. If your main goal is to shut background noise down as completely as possible, a more aggressive noise reduction approach from another manufacturer may serve you better, and we will tell you that rather than fit you with the wrong device.

Your hearing evaluation is performed by a Doctor of Audiology, and we verify hearing aid fittings with Real Ear Measurement, a small probe microphone placed in your ear canal to measure the sound actually reaching your eardrum. Manufacturer default settings assume an average ear canal, and few ears are average. As an independent clinic we also fit Phonak, ReSound, Signia, and Widex, and a CROS transmitter is available on the Reveal platform for patients with little or no usable hearing in one ear.
