For many wearers, hearing aids can sound tinny and artificial, which can make it difficult for some to adapt to their new hearing aids. This artificial auditory experience happens when sound processed in the hearing aid reaches the eardrum a split second later than the natural sound that travels directly through (or around) the hearing aid. With Widex Moment, their new ZeroDelay technology eliminates these artificial sounds and makes the sound more natural. According to Widex, the new Moment platform achieves this with two distinct signal pathways, both built on the natural sound of Widex signal processing, but significantly different in processing speed and sound design.
The Widex Moment platform has six different style options, including the smallest rechargeable lithium-ion receiver-in-canal (RIC) device on the market. Lithium-ion rechargeable hearing aids have added a new level of convenience for hearing aid wearers with most offering quick-charge and all-day charge options. These devices get up to 20 hours of use on a charge.
PureSound with ZeroDelay Technology is the most significant feature in the new Moment hearing aids, as it eliminates the artificial sound quality and instead creates a more natural sound experience. Widex believes that PureSound delivers a sound so natural that it will remind users of how they used to hear and make the experience of hearing with a hearing aid much more enjoyable.
